Flooding and drainage
The 2024 rains put Madaraka Market under water and over a thousand traders counted losses. Drainage lines had been built over. Commitment 6 answers this.
Water rationing
River silting cut Thika's water production by a third in 2024 and rationing followed. Commitment 7 answers this.
Jobs leaving town
Factories have shut and coffee declined while youth unemployment concentrates in Kiandutu and beyond. Commitments 3, 4 and 10 answer this.
Drugs, crime and dark streets
Parents name substance abuse among their greatest fears for Thika's youth, and poorly lit areas stay dangerous. Commitments 3, 5 and 6 answer this.
Rural roads and the river crossing
